ABOUT ME
I'M PASSIONATE ABOUT UNDERSTANDING AND PERFECTING THE PLAYER EXPERIENCE
I thrive in team-based environments where people from different backgrounds create something that is bigger than themselves by communicating openly with constructive feedback and sharing each other’s creative enthusiasm. A team that gives everything, and just a bit more, to get a project done at the highest possible quality.
Â
When I was 5 years old, I discovered the editor in Age of Empires 2 and started making maps based on my favourite movies and historical battles. And I have had an itch to create stuff ever since. When I found out making levels was an actual job, I knew game dev was the way to go for me. And when I started my studies in Game Design and Production in Breda, I found out that I love making levels, worlds and bombastic sequences that the player doesn't only see, but gets to interact and play with.
Â
Because of my background playing around with many different level editors (back in the day, every game used to ship with a level editor), interest in storytelling through spaces and challenging the player with the mechanics of a game world, Level Design became my passion!

Topics that especially interest me: theme park- & attraction design, drumming, (art)-history, architecture, kombucha-brewing, hiking and having a 3-hour conversation about the making-of the Lord of the Rings trilogy films because why not? And let's make sure to have some lovely Belgian beers on the side.
My (current) favourite video games are, in no particular order: Bioshock, Kingdom Come Deliverance II, Portal 2, The Witcher 3, Fable 2, Crusader Kings 3, The Lord of the Rings: Conquest, Stardew Valley, The Outer Worlds, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Journey, Ghost of a Tale, Skyrim (heavily modded as a hardcore survival RPG) & Slay the Spire.
